Four ways to fish the North Sea

Maximum eight anglers on every sailing so there’s room to fish properly. Secure any trip with a 25% deposit — the balance is payable on the day.

Summer drifting over the wrecks, reefs and rough ground that made Whitby famous. This is the trip for the cod — and the ling, pollack and bass that live alongside them. Rod and reel hire available at £5; tackle and 12oz weights sold onboard.

When the cod move inshore for winter we drop anchor and fish uptide — the classic North East winter method, and some of the best cod fishing of the year. Wrap up; the fishing’s worth it.

Deposits, weather & the small print

Deposits

Every booking is secured with a 25% deposit. Balance payable on the day, cash or card.

Weather calls

If the North Sea says no, you choose: move the date or take a full refund of your deposit. The skipper makes the call — safety first, always.

Changes & no-shows

Two weeks’ notice for cancellations or date changes. No-shows lose the deposit. Running late? The boat sails on time — ring ahead.
